Acorn Risc PC 700

The Risc PC 700 was the second computer in Acorn's Risc PC family and was introduced in July 1995. It was a very advanced upgrade to the Risc PC 600.

The 700 was an improvement in many ways: the Risc PC had a faster processor (the 40 MHz ARM710), more memory, standard VRAM, full 16-bit sound and larger hard drives. The ARM710 also performed much better, with an increase of approximately 40%, compared to the original 600 model. The Risc PC 700 also had a newer version of the RISC OS operating system with version 3.60.

Production of the Risc PC family was discontinued in November 2003.
