About Federico Faggin

Born in Italy in 1941, Faggin began his career in physics and electronics. In 1968, he moved to Silicon Valley, where he joined Intel. There, he played a crucial role in the development of the 4004 microprocessor in 1971. This invention was revolutionary and formed the backbone of the modern computer industry. After his time at Intel, he co-founded Zilog, known for the Z80 microprocessor, which was used in many early personal computers.
