MAI Basic Four System S/10

The MAI (Management Assistance Inc.) Basic Four System S/10 is an office computer that can also be used as a terminal, built around the Z80 processor.

There are two double-sided, MFM encoded, 96 tracks-per-inch, 622K 5.25" floppy drives.

The system operates under CP/M or its own BB/M operating system. There is also a Z80 for video. Later, a hard disk expansion was also added. By default, the screen shows 80 characters in width, but this can also be changed to 132 characters. A special option.

BB/M stands for Business Basic 4. This is a kind of multitasking operating system with 'tasks' and 'ghost tasks'. It is a real BASIC and you will also need to set parameters for the tasks. BASIC for companies in other words.

The computer is mainly intended for office purposes, but we have several diskettes with games. Some may have been used for home use.
