Apple iBook G4

On October 23, 2003, Apple added a PowerPC G4 chip to the iBook line, finally ending Apple's use of the PowerPC G3 chip.

An optical drive with a lock replaced the disc tray. The iBook G4 notebook also has an opaque white case and keyboard and a plastic display hinge. This is also the iBook laptop, released before MacBooks replaced the iBook line in 2006.
