The Power Mac G4 Quicksilver is an upgrade for the second generation of the Power Mac series. Introduced in 2001, the Quicksilver had a cosmetically new casing and improved specifications compared to its predecessor.

The Quicksilver offered 733, 867, or double 800 MHz processors, and all models had UltraATA/100 hard drives, with SuperDrive capabilities on the 867 MHz model. A second, newly improved version of Quicksilver was released in 2002, which was the first Mac that reached 1 GHz.
