Zanussi

Ping-O-Tronic is a home console manufactured by the Italian company Zanussi and released in the late of 1974. Is one of the first home consoles and the first manufactured by an Italian company.

In Italy was distributed under the brand Sèleco. The game titles of this console are three similar games: Pong, Squash/Solo and Automatic/Attract, with the last one to be able to be played with no players and used for demonstration purposes also. There are a lot of versions of this console from PP-1 up to PP-10. After the PP-5 version the player can use an extra slot for a gun peripheral used in a new game. At that time Magnavox Odyssey and Philips Philips Tele-Game ES 2201 gave the possibility of such a peripheral also. On 21 April of 1975 Zanussi bought the rights of using Pong from Sanders Associates. The console, including its successor Play-O-Tronic sold around 1 million units until 1983. The estimated price of the console is between 70,000 and 130,000 italian lira.
