EACA Genie I (EG 3003)

EACA was a Hong Kong-based computer maker. Clones were mainly made of the Tandy TRS80 computer from 1977. The first system (Video Genie) dates from 1980 and little has been improved up to and including the Genie II from late 1981.

The main difference from the Tandy was support for lowercase letters and a built-in 500 baud cassette recorder. The 1983 Genie III had CP / M support and the last, Color Genie, even had colors.

The Video Genie and successors have been sold under different names. Dick Smith System 80 MK I, PMC-80 and even TRZ-80.
