Atari VCS "Heavy Sixer"

The Atari 2600, originally referred to as Atari VCS or Atari Video Computer System, was launched in October 1977.

The original version was produced in the United States. This version uses heavier plastic, which means it has thicker edges and weighs 500 grams more than the later (international) version, which was also widely sold in Europe.

The version in the museum is a very special one. It has the signature of Nolan Bushnell, one of the founders of Atari, on it. It also concerns the Heavy Sixer version with thicker edges. An unique item!
