Philips P2500/P2000B

The P2000B (also known as P2500) is a system with 5.25 disks meant for business use. It was mostly used as a Word Processor with extra functions while having capabilities to run CP/M and expandability in mind. Like the P2000M, the drives are included in the monitor.

The P2000B (also known as P2500) is a system with 5.25 disks meant for business use. It was mostly used as a Word Processor with extra functions while having capabilities to run CP/M and expandability in mind. Like the P2000M, the drives are included in the monitor.

The P2000B has the same case colors as the P2000M, black with dark grey. The P2500 is the same machine, but with lighter colors. This was considered more modern and more in style with the upcoming line of computers.

Like the other P2000T and P2000M, this computer also required a ROM-cartridge to be placed on the side. Expansions are possible in the case.

These are considered as rare. The one in the museum has a severe form of screen rot, meaning the layer of glue between 2 glass plates are moldy. It is fixable, but it will take a considerable amount of time.
